Abraham Lincoln, che chiede di salire a bordo e in seguito invita Kirk e Spock a scendere sul pianeta. Qui una creatura di roccia li informa che sono stati scelti per una sfida tra il bene e il male in cui i «buoni» sono rappresentati da Kirk, Spock,
Lincoln e
Surak, mentre i «cattivi» da
Zora,
Gengis Khan,
Kahless e il Colonnello
Green.
- Si può vedere la registrazione di parte di un discorso del Colonnello Green in Demons.
- Durante il primo corpo a corpo tra Kirk e il Colonnello Green, nell'impeto della battaglia quando Kirk allontana con i piedi Green, si apre uno squarcio nei pantaloni di Kirk appena sotto il sedere [T:26:55]. Nelle scene successive i pantaloni sono come nuovi.
- La risposta di Kirk alla domanda di Lincoln in merito alla misurazione del tempo lascerebbe intendere che il tempo non venga più misurato in minuti. Tuttavia in molte occasioni si vede che il minuto è ancora un'unità di misura largamente utilizzata.

Surak: The face of war has never changed, Captain. Surely it is more logical to heal than to kill. [T:32:56]
Green: No one talks peace unless he's ready to back it up with war.
Surak: He talks of peace if it is the only way to live. [T:35:54]
Kirk: Your Surak is a brave man.
Spock: Men of peace usually are, Captain. [T:37:14]
