Trama

Data Stellare 3211.7: Mentre Kirk, Uhura e Chekov stanno scendendo su un pianeta, vengono prelevati da un potentissimo raggio teletrasportatore che li porta su Triskelion, un pianeta a molti anni luce di distanza. Qui vengono utilizzati come gladiatori in una serie di combattimenti per il divertimento dei Protettori, i padroni del pianeta.

Note

• Nelle regole uno dei Protettori dice che Kirk ha la parte gialla e che se uno tocca il colore avversario verrà privato di un'arma. Ma la prima cosa che fa Kirk appena iniziato il combattimento è mettere il piede sinistro nell'area verde, come si vede in un'inquadratura dall'alto a [T:42:41].
• Lo script originale, The Gamesters of Pentathlan, vedeva Sulu al posto di Chekov, ma nel periodo delle riprese George Takei non era disponibile.

• La cupola trasparente che ricopre i Protettori è la parte superiore dell'astronave di Lazarus di The Alternative Factor.
