Data Stellare 4202.9: Entrando nel sistema L-370, Kirk scopre che tutti i sette pianeti sono stati distrutti e anche i sistemi vicini sono stati sconvolti da qualcosa. Il ritrovamento della Constitution semidistrutta, con a bordo il Commodoro Mattew Decker porta alla scoperta di una gigantesca macchina capace di distruggere interi pianeti.
